I have been asked many times what it is like to walk in the spirit realm on a day to day basis. Please understand this is not an attempt to brag about myself but to bring understanding of the simplicity of walking in the spirit with Holy Spirit! But first what does that even mean—to walk in the spirit. Now we tend to make this so over the top that it becomes so unachievable. It is simple, you do what you see the father doing. You speak what you hear the Father speaking. You see what the Father sees; you hear what he hears or feel what he feels. It is simple, just obey him; love him with all your heart—the entirety of your being and you will see things beyond your skill to comprehend. Love Him!
Becoming a child at heart is such a key in walking in the spirit realm. You have to wonder about the things you don’t know. Face it, you don’t know anything! YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING!!! That is a good thing because God wants people who know him. Finding joy in everything is so key to walking in the spirit—it is impossible to walk in the spirit and complain at the same time. Learn to live a life of thanksgiving! Worship him with a heart of gladness. I have made it a value of mine to always to find joy in everything. One of my favorite things to do is watch people enjoy themselves in the things they do. It can be something as simple as watching a guy eat a burger or an artist specializing in their craft or a child playing with his toy cars. Learn to enjoy the simple things as well as the big. This is what it means to walk in wonder…laugh with God! Enjoy what you don’t know and enjoy what you think you know!
Another important component to walking in the spirit is to not be afraid of the Spirit of God. Enjoy that he is a mystery…it is his job to wow you so let him do it! Holy Spirit is the master of appetite or appetizers. He gives you a small taste so you will crave more! Become hungry for more and don’t be afraid to be hungry for more of God. He wants to hear your belly rumble; he wants to hear you lift up your voice for more of his presence! It is through hunger that increases presence and anointing in your life. Do you think Jesus was hungry? One of the worst places you can be spiritually is complacent…Get up; clean up, and get hungry! The only person to blame in being complacent is yourself not the devil. I remember an angel came to me one day and said, “The Church is stuck on junk food! It is not good for your health.” What he means is this Galatians 5:16-25! Junk in your spirit man is deadly! Those who walk in the spirit have crucified their flesh and its passions.
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
Often people ask me how I see angels or experience the supernatural or how do I make it every day in seeing the spiritual realm (that does include demons by the way). Intimacy with Jesus. Living a life of adoration. Are you familiar with the feet of Jesus? Have you bowed down to kiss his feet? Adore Him, cast down your crown or authority at his feet! Have you wasted yourself on him! I have become an alabaster box of oil, and I have poured myself on his feet–that I may be a pleasing fragrance to him. That my heart would be joined with him all the days of my life. Are you taking time to walk with God in cool of the garden! I remember one Visitation I had in heaven where I was nearing the intense light in the center of the garden. I remember seeing countless butterflies welcoming me to the presence of Jesus. He was like a white fiery light with diamonds in his eyes and skin! As I approached him he leaned in and kissed me right on the lips and said, “Every time you lift up your voice to me, it is a sweet kiss from your lips.” Intimacy with Jesus is the most important value you can have when it comes to walking in the spirit.
Lastly, keep God out of the box. He can’t fit in one so stop trying to put him in it. If the heavens can’t contain him then what makes you think your box can. God is going to constantly prove to you that he is infinite so enjoy that! Let him be God! Anyway these are some important keys to walking in the spirit.
