The Blood Rose

A great angel came before the Lord on the evening of Silver and Gold. She walked forward before the King of Kings with great wings like a morning dove on this day. Her hair is as white as the summer clouds drifting in the sky.

A great angel came before the Lord on the evening of Silver and Gold. She walked forward before the King of Kings with great wings like a morning dove on this day. Her hair is as white as the summer clouds drifting in the sky. Her steps are graceful and pure. She dressed in what seemed to be thousands of red rose petals atop layers of bright light as an undergarment. The fabrics of her gown dripped with blood painted the crystal floor she walked on. Her hair was long and silver with a golden glow.

The other angels discussed her summoning amongst themselves. Michael and Gabriel questioned why the Lord called her and why he summoned his host to attend whatever this was. With slight banter, the two ancient angels playfully teased.

When the King of Kings called to his host of angels and glorious host, there was silence for a moment as his attention was on the great angel before him. He took her hand in his and smiled. She slightly bowed, as an angel of great power would.

Her hazel eyes looked into his as he spoke, “Today, we draw closer to my return, and my people, whom I call by my name, need to find courage during this day. It is the evening of Silver and Gold in the heavens, The Day of Wisdom and Righteousness, for I will have one bride who will love me with all their heart.”

His eyes remained on her, and then he presented her to the angels as one of high rank: “Look unto the angel of roses, for she will bless you to carry my courage and strength to my loved ones.”

The King stood with her by his side. The angels, including Michael and Gabriel, slightly bowed their heads with respect.

The muttering in heaven continued among the angels and the heavenly host until the King unsheathed his sword of fire and lightning and held it high above the angels. The great angel next to him quickly bowed with his wings raised above her head like an arch. The other angels followed her, and the host of heaven roared with a great shout.

The evening of Silver and Gold cracked by the vibration of the King’s words: “Do not be ashamed to stand with your God. Do not bend to the will of man and their temptations. I will send my angels to you with a message, and they will give you renowned boldness to pursue wisdom and to keep it close to you.” The King’s eyes burned with a terrible fire. “I am your wisdom and righteousness.” The King lowered his sword and sheathed it to his side and took the great angel’s hand to help her stand. Tears fell from her face and into his right hand. With a smile, the King stood back and blew on her garment made of rose petals. Then like a blood cloud filled with light, the petals rushed from her body and through the company of angels and the heavenly host.

With a shout, each angel raised their wings and spun with the wind and the color of the blood roses that left her. The King said, “Go into the earth and bless those I call my own. Go with the blood roses and give them great strength. For the test is not over, and they will need my strength.”
