Psalm 23:1-2 (The Shepherd)

Psalm 23:1-2, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.”

Psalm 23:1-2, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.”

The Lord is my Shepherd; this is something I need. He must watch over me and take care of me. Nothing else will do it.

I need someone who knows me more than the fabrics of eternity. He will look after me. He protects me—he guides me. My precious Jesus, you are always good, and you will look after my heart.

Isaiah 40:11, “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”

John 10:14, “I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me.”

Jesus, you will never leave me alone, you have given up your life for me so that I may find safety in you. Come and lift me close to your heart. I will rest deeply in your arms my beautiful king. I have submitted to your leadership; your authority. My Lord and my God, you have everything I need. I have lost myself in you and you in me. It is true, I lack nothing—my true love and desire shall leave me to never want again.

From deep within my spirit I cry, lead me Jesus! Council me in the way I should go—let me hear your sweet voice! You will provide for me and I will not be afraid. He remains by me…today I get to rest in your safety; in your peace. I want nothing else, so I will not search. I need nothing else, so I will cast off all my lovers and rest in his heart.

Oh, how my soul craves for love. I look to his precious eyes of fire as he stands before me with his staff of light. By his right hand there pleasures forever more! He refreshes my soul with water; The Fountain of Life. A river of life flows from his garment and over my soul. Come and refresh me Jesus. “Lie down my son,” He commands, “Submit to me and life will come to you. There is no other way for you to live outside of my leadership. Hear my voice and drink from my hand and you will be like a well-water garden.” He turns to the world with his staff of light saying, “Come and drink you have no money, come and eat. I am calling all who need me. I am here to take care of you.” As I rest before his feet; I reach out to touch him and by light I enter into healing. He speaks softly to me, “Come and rest my son.”

Isaiah 58:11, “The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden; like a spring whose waters never fail.”

Isaiah 55:1 “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.”

John 4:14, “But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

He restores my soul…Jesus you are the living waters. Thank you for refreshing my spirit; and that I have not come to death. I have found life—the season of drought is gone from me because I have become a river, an eternal spring.

While resting in his presence, again I was taken to heaven and found myself by the river of life flowing from the throne of God. As I made my way towards the throne, walking up stream, the rainbow fish swam right by my feet. Diamonds covered the floor and were intelligently placed in the rocks near me. Flowing from the throne of God was oil while I climbed golden steps into the Light of God. A whole other world was before me but a river flowed over my feet still. Jesus stepped out of the presence of God to greet me with a kiss on my cheek.

“Come,” He said with intense joy, “Into the Light of our Father–his love for you.”

Jesus held my hand as we stood before God almighty and he thundered with great love and passion for me, “My son, I am the fountain, the river of life. Come and be refreshed.”

Revelation 7:17, “For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.

Psalm 36:9, “For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.”
