Come Back! I Will Love You!

From the depths, my soul cries out for the living God. My heart waits for him under the white rose trees. They bloom by the waves of love coming from my heart. As each petal drops, I am left with a memory of our last meeting. Could he possibly come again as I wait for him in his garden?

Behind me, the gate opens while my heart reaches for him as he approaches. The tears flowed from my eyes; Lord Jesus has come! I took a deep sigh; there just weren’t any words. I felt so much love, I couldn’t utter it; it was too deep. Gently he placed his face against mine from behind while his right arm held me close to him. He whispered to me, “Oh how I long for the day when you and I will dance Micah. Under the rising glory of my Father, over the galaxies that sing below, you and I will please our Father with my Joy upon you!” He turned me around to face him. I saw in his eyes pure, unwavering love for me. He knows every part of me. “I love you, my friend. My beautiful Son of Light. My glory has rested upon you, and there is no darkness in you. From the day you spoke my name before my Father, your heart belonged to me. And on this day, I have come to ask you,” He paused as his eyes filled up with tears, “Will you join me as my friend and never let me go?” He began to weep! Jesus rested his face in my hands…I felt his tears. He could barely utter a word, Lord Jesus, the Desire of All Nations could barely speak. I did not know what to do but hold him. He slowly raised his blue eyes and said, “There is coming a day when my friends will leave me for another. Even those who have stood before me like you have, but have become tricked by Satan’s lies, will leave me. I will always love them.” His voice shook, “And I will always feel that tear from my heart when they choose him over me.”

I was so undone by this! I never understood how Jesus would truly feel about people leaving him. He too has lost friends. He does not cry because of insecurity or shame. He cries because he remembers the day he first held your spirit in his hand. He remembers the day when you first looked into his eyes! He saw you dancing with him in his heart beyond all knowledge and understanding! His Father had planned the wedding day for his bride, and it saddens him to know that some will not be there with him on that day.

I didn’t know what to say, “Lord, I am so weak! I have left you so many times for other pleasures. I am sorry.” I kissed his head.

Jesus firmly placed his hands on my shoulder to encourage me, “I am not afraid of weakness Micah, you shouldn’t be either. Tell my people that my joy is with them and my strength is with them. I am holding you close now in your greatest time of need.” His voice began to shake from his raw emotion, “Tell them…I want you! I have chosen you, and I will never change my mind.”

He disappeared. I was alone in the garden with the rose trees. They had now turned deep red in response to the Lord’s emotion. They could feel him too.

“Jesus come back…” I whispered, “come back.”

Then a voice spoke among the trees, and I still do not know who it was, “This is how he feels when you leave his presence. In his heart, he waits and calls you back to him! He is saying to those who have walked away, ‘Come back, come back.’”

I fell to my knees as I could feel those people. And with my eyes closed, I cried out to those who have left him, “Come Back! Jesus wants you! Come back!”

Suddenly the Lord appeared next to me with his head tilted back crying out from the deepest part of his heart. It was a cry that I cannot explain. He was interceding for them…so deep and powerful! Then he shouted with an intensity I have never heard before, “Come back! I will love you! Come back!”

Romans 8:34, “Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.”

Hebrews 7:25, “Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Revelation 2:4-5, “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.”
