Jesus Is Way More Fun

Jesus is fun, and has plenty of time to play! Make time for playing, laughing, and exploring!

Well, friends since the 4th of July is coming up, I thought I would write some fun encounters Jesus and I shared. I just want us to laugh a bit and enjoy the simple crazy things of the spirit realm. These few stories I’m about to share with you involve Jesus, who is very comical. Enjoy Jesus being awesome.

–Ice Cream Jesus–

You know Jesus is not serious all the time. I learned that Jesus is into having fun with plenty of surprises. One day Jesus decided to visit me with ice cream. Yes, I said Ice cream! It was ice cream from heaven! No joke! I was sitting outside listening to music when Jesus walked up to me in a yellow t-shirt, blue jeans, and sandals. Jesus had the Cincinnati Reds baseball cap on His head turned backward.

I couldn’t figure out why, but He looked so humorous. I laughed at His approach. Jesus smiled, “I brought ice cream, Micah.”

“Jesus, why are you wearing a Cincinnati Reds Baseball cap?”

Jesus laughed, “Oh, I went to see the game, and I was thinking, I wanted some ice-cream and thought you would like to have some too.” Jesus sat next to me, crossed His right leg in a relaxing position, and gave me a spoon.

I noticed that my spoon was smaller than His. “Jesus, I want the bigger spoon!”

Jesus teased me, “No, this one is mine. I win.” He tapped my nose. Oh, the flavor was delightful! Obviously, Jesus got this from heaven. The taste was creamy and fruity like a cheesecake blend with actual fruit that I have never tasted before.

“Jesus, what flavor is this?”

Jesus took a big scoop then answered, “My Favorite!” I looked at Him trying to wrap my brain around this strange visitation. Jesus took another scoop, “No, it’s really called My Favorite. I figured I have some of My Favorite ice cream with my favorite person.” He burst with laughter then put His arm around me. “You better eat some before I finish it.” He licked His spoon with a playful wink.

I ate some more, “Lord, this is strange, but I like seeing you this way.”

Jesus smiled, “Oh, you mean seeing me as a normal human being who is also a King that likes baseball games and ice cream? Of course, Micah.” He took another big dip of ice cream. I noticed that Jesus was significantly eating more than I was, so I snatched the tub of ice cream from Him and ate more. He then took it back and ate some faster. The ice cream was all over His face. We played around until it was all finished.

Jesus ate most of it, but I was ok with that! He stood up with the empty tub of ice-cream, “Can I have your spoon?” I gave it back to Him. Jesus sighed, “Well, no brain freeze, huh, Micah?” I shook my head, no. He giggled, “Good, well, my friend, thank you for eating ice cream with me.” He kissed me on the forehead then vanished.

Oh yeah, you guessed it, there was ice cream on my forehead from Jesus’ messy beard. I was ok with that too.

–Jesus On His Motorcycle–

It was a hot summer afternoon, and I had no air conditioning in my car. I rode with my windows down, turned up the music to my favorite tunes, and sang as loud as I could. As I minded my business, I noticed a motorcycle speed right next to me. It seemed to appear there. I was startled to see Jesus riding a motorcycle next to me! He had the most fantastic grin on His face like He couldn’t wait for me to see Him.

He had a red bandanna on; a white sleeveless shirt and steel boots with blue jeans. His hair was up in a man bun. Jesus looked hilarious; I couldn’t stop laughing. Jesus waved hi and then rode in front of me into heaven! We serve a wild and unpredictable God!

–Jesus Loves Pop–

I was shopping for a pop when Jesus came zooming from behind the shelf. With excitement, He asked, “What are you getting to drink?”

I wasn’t even startled this time. After the whole ice cream incident, I figured Jesus would do something like this again. I answered, ” I want a pop. You want one?”

Jesus laughed, “Not these, but thanks for asking.” He turned around and pretended to leave. Jesus wanted me to ask what He had to offer. I could tell by His posture when He walked away with this goofy look.

“Jesus?” I called to Him.

He turned around quickly, “Yes!” He walked closer to me. Jesus’ hair was down over His face; like someone who forgot to do their hair in the morning. He was in a hoodie that said Ohio State. I don’t know why Jesus owns that, but whatever. His blue eyes still contained the glory of God. Jesus answered a second time, “Yes!”

I cleared my throat, “Do you have some pop for me to try?”

Jesus laughed, “Yes! I do.” He fiddled His hand, and a two-liter of pop appeared in His right hand. Jesus smiled, “Cool trick, uh?” He snapped His left finger, and we were in my car suddenly. Jesus unscrewed the lid and drank from the bottle! I couldn’t believe I was drinking after Jesus! Wow! I had some, and abruptly we were launched into space! It was like a roller coaster! I held onto Jesus as we zoomed past planets and other galaxies!

“Lightspeed!” Jesus shouted in my ear, “The pop you drank is called Lightspeed! Do you like it?” Jesus raised His hands into the air like when riding a rollercoaster, “Woah!” He exclaimed.

I held onto Him until I couldn’t handle the excitement anymore! I raised my hands and screamed! It was wild! We looped around stars and planets until we came to a halting stop above our world.

Jesus looked at me with eyes of wonder, “Micah, things are going to change for the better! Lightspeed fun, joy, and excitement are going to crash into my church, and those around you will know that I have overcome the tribulations of the world.” Jesus snapped His fingers, and I was back in my car.

So why am I writing this? Well, I just wanted you to have some fun! Jesus is fun, and has plenty of time to play! Make time for playing, laughing, and exploring! The Kingdom of God is fun! Heaven on earth is going to be more fun than ever before!
